BREAKOUT SESSIONS 2018

STEPHANIE KOLTISKA, MFA
Hatha Yoga Instructor
Stephanie Koltiska was born and raised in Sheridan, WY. She and her husband Tim are proud parents to their one year old daughter, Charli. They currently reside on their family ranch just outside of town. Stephanie Koltiska is a professor in the Theater and Dance program at Sheridan College, where she educates students in the art of movement and performance. Stephanie spent 15 years as a professional dancer performing with numerous modern dance companies all across the US. She spent the bulk of her performing career in San Francisco and
New York, where she was given the opportunity to work with some of the greatest names in the business. Stephanie holds a BFA in Dance Performance from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA, and a MFA in Dance with an emphasis in Performance and Pedagogy from SUNY Purchase in New York. Stephanie found her deep-rooted love of yoga during her years as a professional dancer. Looking for a practice to nurture the body, calm the mind, and heal the soul, she took her first class in Seattle 15 years ago and has been hooked ever since. Deciding to
take her practice to the next level, she jumped into a 200 hour yoga teacher training in Denver, CO. During this time, she was focusing on deepening her understanding of the Yoga Sutra’s, Ayurvedic teachings and meditation to help round out her training in Hatha Yoga. Stephanie’s approach to teaching both dance and yoga is to nurture and inspire people to move, and to love the body they move in.
